In plain language: some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. This is how the site pays for itself.

What that means

When a post links to a rug, a lamp, a piece of hardware — anything shoppable — that link may be an affiliate link through a retailer’s affiliate program. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go straight to the store.

What it doesn’t mean

It doesn’t change what we recommend. We link to pieces we’d actually use in a room, whether or not there’s a commission attached. If something didn’t work out in real use, the post says so.

Why we disclose this

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission asks sites to be clear when a link could result in payment to the site owner. This page, plus the short note in the footer of every page, is that disclosure.
